Is it worth the long way for such a short period? Not everyone can afford being away from work for several weeks so they don´t have a different chance to fullfil their dreams of travelling. In November 2015 we went to Thailand for 10 days and it was absolutelly great. A trip like that needs to be planned a bit. As time is only little you should consider carefully what you want. Ask yourself which places you want to see. Consider the transfer times. Get a plan B if plan A does not work in advance so you don´t have to waste time with solving problems during your travels.
Tastes are different. Some like to see as much as possible and change their location every second day, others want to relax and avoid the stress of transfers as much as they can. We found a good way how to spend 10 days in Thailand.
