Day 1 - Travelling to Bangkok and Nightlife
As we are quite lucky and live in Abu Dhabi we only have to take a 6-7 hours flight to Bangkok. Flight was with Etihad Airways and as usual without any problems.
We arrived at 7 PM in Bangkok and were quite happy as the Gate was almost next to the immigration counters. The queue was massive this time. After 1 hour of waiting we were told by an immigration officer to go to the Premium Counters. So we rushed there and they were empty. No one asked us for a premium lane ticket.
So next time we will try to go there directly. :D
We took a public taxi to our hotel which was the Grand Swiss Sukhumvit. Taxi costs were round about 300-400 Baht. You can have it cheaper by taking the train but after a 7 hours flight we choosed the more comfortable way of transport.
And here we are in our Hotel.
Although it was not cheap it was worth every Bath. Best was the location at the beginning of Sukhumvit Soi 11 only a few steps from BTS Station Nana.
